We will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this small colonial style town.

filterDay 2 :Copán Archaeology Site & Bird Park Toda ...Copán Archaeology Site & Bird Park Today we will visit the famous Mayan Site of Copán; known as the Paris of Ancient Mayan cities. Copán boasts many amazing creations such as an intricately carved stelae and an amazing hieroglyphic stairway. After touring the site and visiting the museum we return to Copán town for lunch. After our meal, we can walk in the lush, shady river valley of the Copán Bird Park where a local guide will accompany us to see and interact with a number of beautiful tropical birds; rescued from all over Honduras. When we are ready, we will be transferred back to our hotel.

This will be followed by an exciting kayak trip that takes us from a mangrove lagoon to the Caribbean Sea. We will follow the winding canals passing through mangrove swamps and observing the abundant wildlife until we reach the Ocean. Here we will enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach and have the chance to kayak on the open water

filterDay 4 : Transfer to Pico Bonito Park & Cacao Lag ...Transfer to Pico Bonito Park & Cacao Lagoon Kayaking We will transfer from the hotel to this wildlife refuge situated 33 Km. from La Ceiba, which is home to many endangered animal species, found within the many mangrove canals proceeding from the rivers Cuero y Salado. There is a mixture of both fresh and salt water; the reserve being right at the oceanfs edge. Manatees, monkeys, alligators and a variety of birds are among the highlights of this protected and diverse habitat.
