We visit the “Casa de Caroya” Jesuit Ranch, which was used as a summer residence for students of the Monserrat College. After that, we will go to Jesús María, renowned for its Festival de Doma y Folclore (taming and folk music festival), where we will find the San Isidro Labrador Jesuit Ranch, pioneer in making wine in this area. The first stop will be at the city of Alta Gracia. This place is full of history with its World Heritage buildings dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. They used to belong to the Jesuit religious: the main house, now a museum, the “Tajamar”, an artificial lake, the church. The other highlight in Alta Gracia is the house, and today museum, where Che Guevara and his family used to live. The main reason they chose this city as their home were their constant asthma attacks, caused by the humid weather of Buenos Aires. After the visit to this museum you will continue your trip southwards along the Calamuchita Valley and across the hills of Cordoba until the small and picturesque town of Villa General Belgrano. This is Alpine/German-like village, famous for its pastry and homemade beer together with the Oktoberfest, the Chocolate and the Cakes Festivals, distributed along the year.
