Full day hike (approx. 10-12 hours). This is probably the most strenuous day. We start early in the morning from our camp in Pehoe to enter the wonderful French valley. We enter as far as possible into the valley, according to group trekking rhythm. Along the valley it is common to see small avalanches falling down from the French glacier. From here we can also see the famous horns of Paine. As we trudge on we see more of this impressive granite scenery and understand why the French valley is an icon among mountaineers and rock climbers. We leave the valley and return to the main path which will lead us to Cuernos refuge where we spend the night. Camp
